THERMOCOUPLING CABLE

Cable with which temperature is controlled in heat treatments and in some preheating procedures. The most used cable is the type “K” cable (NiCr/NiAl, diameter 0.7 mm).

The type K thermocouple can be used continuously in oxidising atmospheres, inert up to 1260ºC, and in reducing or sulphurous atmospheres and in a vacuum. They can be used to measure temperatures from 200ºC up to 1372ºC.
